Developed by the team at QUBE containers. A portable toilet block built into a single shipping container with the option for either 3 toilets & a shower or 4 individual toilets and sinks as well as a separate section for the plumbing.
All being housed in a shipping container means the unit is robust and easy to move, so it can be transported by rail, road, manoeuvred easily and shipped by QUBE to wherever their customer needs it. Which is usually mining sites, industrial sites or construction sites.
We worked with the team at QUBE Containers in developing and supplying the plumbing component within these units. The design needed to not only be reliable but simple for the user as well.
Housed inside the plumbing compartment is a water tank that pumps a reliable continuous potable water supply into the basin, shower and toilets, while a separate tank collects and holds the black water sewage. Connected to the sewage tank is a macerator, which uses its fast-rotating cutting blade to convert solids and fluids into a fine slurry that is discharged under pressure through small-diameter piping and expelled into the waste water tank. This reduces the risks of blockages increasing the unit’s reliability. For the sewage tank we paired an electronic alarm gauge with a level gauge. The alarm gauge will sound when the tank hits capacity. While the level gauge enables quick checks, making it fast and simple for users to check the tank levels before it hits capacity.
