Plumbing systems in shipping containers may come across as unusual sentence for some, but for us this is not unheard of.
The shipping containers are a portable water closet solution for mine sites. One compartment holds the toilet or showers, while another compartment stores the plumbing. And because it is all contained in a shipping container…it’s easy to ship around. Ensuring easy maneuverability and transport by road or rail, making it ideal for the dynamic needs of mining operations.
As the product is a plug and play solution, we had to ensure that our tank system was robust and simple. A pressure pump capable of 50lpm, pumps a reliable continuous potable water supply into the basin, shower and toilets, while a separate tank collects and holds the black water sewage. Both tanks come with a level gauge to enable a quick check for the liquid levels. While the sewage tanks are also fitted with a high-level alarm with a float switch. The float switch moves up and down with the liquid level, detecting the amount of liquid in a tank, and sending an alarm when the level becomes too high.
These tanks are essential components of our client’s portable water closet solution, ensuring reliability and efficiency. The pressure pump, level gauges, and high-level alarms work together to provide a seamless and safe operation, helping to make these portable systems a dependable choice.
