Recently, we partnered with a prominent mining company undertaking the design and fabrication of raw storage tanks. These tanks had to be more than just containers; they had to be meticulously crafted solutions tailored to withstand the tough conditions of the mining site while being easily portable. To exceed the industry standards for safety, environmental compliance, and durability.
Our fabrication team constructed the raw storage tanks with a closed bunding system, ensuring that any risk of contamination from leaks or spills was completely eliminated. To fortify the bund’s integrity, we installed the suction outlet through the roof, significantly reducing the risk of leaks. Furthermore, to tackle any potential odour concerns, the tanks were equipped with DN150 odour-eliminating atmospheric vents, ensuring a pleasant and safe working environment.
To enable effortless monitoring, we installed mechanical level gauges and 12v high-level alarms on both the tank and the bund, providing real-time alerts in case of abnormalities and enhancing operational safety.
In the final stage of fabrication, our in-house steel fabrication team crafted heavy-duty steel frames for the tanks. These frames, complete with fork lift pockets and lifting points, not only added to the tanks’ durability but also made them easily portable. This feature allows our client to seamlessly move the tanks to various locations around their site, showcasing their operational flexibility.
This tank was effective and practical solution for our client, that stemmed from our ability to innovate and collaborate so we can meet the unique challenges of each project.
