We recently had the opportunity to collaborate with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation & Attractions…
Designing a custom 10,500L water cartage tank for the Walpole-Nornalup National Park.
For this project, the Department required the tank to fit on an existing truck with a narrow trailer design. This wasn’t an issue for us, because of our in-house fabrication capabilities, we can adapt our industrial-grade cartage tanks for a wide range of uses—whether for dust suppression, road maintenance, re-vegetation, or wastewater transport.
Our in-house steel fabrication team crafted a heavy-duty galvanised skid frame, precisely tailored to the specifications of the client’s truck bed. This customisation ensured seamless integration with the Department’s equipment, allowing for easy installation and reliable performance in the rugged terrain of the national park.
Having an in-house fabrication team allows us to deliver fast, flexible, and cost-effective solutions without relying on third-party suppliers. This direct control over the manufacturing process ensures that we can meet unique project requirements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and durability. For the Walpole-Nornalup project, we provided a robust skid frame featuring fork tine lifting points and a 500mm wide checker plate platform for mounting additional equipment, such as the Davey 5155HV Fire Pump with a 5.5hp Honda GX160 engine.
The cast aluminium hose reel, also mounted on the skid frame, provides ease of operation with a guide rail and manual locking mechanism. Whether extending, retracting, or locking the hose, the system is built for durability and convenience, ideal for fire suppression, facility water supply, and more.
By keeping our steel fabrication process in-house, we ensure greater speed, precision, and reliability for every project. Whether it’s fitting a tank to a narrow trailer or incorporating specialised equipment like pumps and hose reels, we have the capacity to meet diverse requirements quickly and effectively.
