Enhancing water management efficiency in mining…
Two 50,000L water tanks are loaded onto a truck, bound for a mine site, where they will play crucial roles in the site’s pumping systems. Each tank serves a distinct purpose in the water lifecycle: one for potable water storage, the other for managing waste water.
While the tanks differ in certain features due to the nature of the liquids they store, they are united by a shared design philosophy. Both are designed for easy access, equipped with efficient pump systems, and enhanced safety and monitoring features.
To fit seamlessly into our clients current system the tanks are tailored designed for ground-level access. Recognising the importance of easy access for both filling and draining the tanks, we fabricated the connection points at ground level. This design feature, coupled with lockable valves, ensures convenient and efficient access for maintenance and operation.
To ensure an efficient pump system, the tanks are equipped with a Davey HM160 pump, renowned for its reliability and efficiency, with a maximum flow rate of 250L per minute. To further enhance pump control and adaptability to varying flow demands, we installed a Davey Sump Master multi-functional controller. This controller provides fully automatic pump control and protection, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
To enhance safety and monitoring, high-level and low-level sensors alarms were installed on the tanks. These alarms provide early warning of potential issues, allowing for prompt action to be taken, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operation.
In the tale of these two tanks we see a story of innovation and efficiency in water management. Each tank, tailored to its specific purpose in the water lifecycle, embodies our commitment to providing reliable and effective solutions for our clients.
