Versatility & Portability For Mine Site Water…
If you look at the environment of a mine site they are often vast & bone dry with craggy unforgiving terrain. In keeping these rugged sites operating, access to a dependable water supply is critical, a problem that faced one of our valued mining clients. They were needing a versatile water cartage tank to fill the potable water locations throughout the site. To fulfill this job the tank would need to be effortlessly loaded and unloaded from flatbed trucks with a forklift & still be being durable enough to withstand the continuous driving in the roughest of terrain. To meet their specific requirements we crafted this tailored 5,000L Water Cartage Tank.
Firstly to guarantee secure forklift handling, we mounted the tank on a heavy-duty galvanized frame, complete with side fork pockets and lifting eyelets. Easy lock mounting pins, allows the tank to securely lock into the frame, as safety during transport was non-negotiable. To meet the challenges of uneven terrain, our tank was fully baffled with specialised baffle balls. This design ensured stability and prevented water surges during transit across the mining sites vast landscape.
For fast efficient water transfer we installed a Yanmar diesel pump, capable of effectively distributing water across the mining site. A heavy-duty galvanized hose reel, equipped with a manual lock, was securely mounted to the skid frame’s checkered platform for durability and ease of use. To minimise downtime during water transfer, we integrated a horizontal easy-access Camlock point, simplifying the connection process for trucks.
For our client this tank gave them fast and efficient water distribution which meant less downtime on the mining site, boosting productivity.
