Fatter Cattle…
That is the main outcome our client is looking to get out of this tank delivery.
He manages a cattle station up north and is going to use the 5 tanks, which consist of a 50,000l, 3 custom 9,000l and a 5000l cartage to hold liquid fertiliser.
He is fertilising his crop of Rhodes grass, which is being grown for cattle feed. A well fertilised grass crop, means a higher yield and quality, which in turn makes for plump cattle.
The three 9,000l custom fert tanks attach to pivots. The fert is drained out of the tank into pipes where water is pumped, then to the pivot via injection pumps. A 30 hour lap will go through 100lites per hour which gives about 100kg of urea to the grass.
The cartage tank transports liquid fertiliser from the large 50,000l mother tank to the smaller tanks. The versatility of the cartage tank means it won’t only be used to transport the liquid fert, it will attach to a pivot of its own, turning it into the 4th storage tank.
With these tanks, our client is able to implement a clever system that will improve his grass quality, that which will in turn, improve the quality of his beef.
A lot goes into getting your steak on a plate.
