A client required a compact yet durable gland water storage system…
West Coast Poly was engaged to design a tank and frame solution that would integrate seamlessly into their site. The specification called for a 5,300L tank complete with a suite of flanged fittings, level sensor provisions, inspection hatch, stainless steel ID plate, atmospheric venting, and lifting points. Every element was carefully considered to ensure the tank could be put straight to work with minimal site modification.
To support the tank, our steel fabrication team engineered an industrial-duty platform designed not only to house the vessel securely, but also to provide a one-square-metre pump area with protective cover. The frame was constructed with a mid-level protection rail, then blasted and coated with two layers of zinc-rich epoxy followed by an isocyanate-free acrylic finish, giving long-term protection. Chain and turnbuckles were incorporated into the design to secure the tank in place, ensuring both safety and ease of relocation when required.
The final build allowed the client to position a pump set alongside the tank, ready for straightforward connection into their existing system. The frame design ensured seamless integration with their infrastructure while the combination of robust polyethylene storage and a custom-built steel platform delivered a portable solution that was fit for purpose, reliable, and tailored to site conditions.
