Cyclone Tank For Raw Water Storage…
Ready to withstand the conditions of northern WA, this is a 38,000L tank for storing raw water on a mine site. The conditions in Northen WA are harsh and the site we were delivering to is remote, things which had to be considered when designing and delivering the tank.
The tank was made using a HDPE poly material, chosen for it’s heavy duty capabilities making it ideal for the storage tanks industrial application. The tank was fitted with our heavy duty galvanised restraint ring with 8 vertical posts, giving this tank the unparalleled strength and stability required for the conditions in the Pilbara. The tank was FEA engineered and underwent non-destructive testing to be certified for Region D, Category 2 cyclonic wind loading. This gives our client a tank with a steadfast reliability even in the face of extreme weather events.
For easier inspection and maintenance, we also fitted a flanged stainless steel manway to the side of the tank. To ensure an easy delivery for our client, the tank was pre slung for transport with straps and shackles. And as the tank was an oversized load, our truck was accompanied by an escort vehicle to site. Through, design, fabrication testing and delivery this project gave our client in the remote north of WA peace of mind. Knowing they had long term tank solution they could rely on.
